#9 SONG : Akanishi Jin - Ai Naru Hou e

So today I’d like to share with you guys a song that im into recently: Akanish Jin’s Ai Naru Hou e. To be honest, im not great a fan of his especially after all he did and left KAT-TUN, not that I was his fan to begin with though. But I do love KAT-TUN. They are funny, that is of course including Jin too (he is one of the funniest!) and their songs are great.

Okay, this song is the second single after his comeback  and I'm sooo in love with this it! It’s catchy and sweet! I seem to like his songs after the comeback more than his American songs (is that what you call it?). ‘Hey What’s Up?’, the one before that is not bad too… or more like I like it a lot! Even my friend, who is no fan of this j-pop thingy love it! You can listen to ‘Hey What’s Up?’ here.

My favorite phrase from this song would be:

Let’s live life honestly so that you don’t lose yourself
On your stage you are the star

Let's live life honestly, just how you are
On your stage you are the star

It’s like his telling you to live life the way you like it and just be yourself. Who cares what people have to say, it’s your life, you’re the main character, it’s all about you. Hmm…just like how he had always lived his, huh? He just do what he wanna do. Partying all night, getting married out of the blue and having a child.

I like these kinds of messages, though. It gives me the courage to just be me ^^

You can download the song here and if you’d like the full lyrics with translation it’s here.

That’s all for now.
Bye ^^

Yuna Inspires Me

Hi, guys! Today I would like to share with you guys one of my favorite singer. Okay, she is Yunalis Zarai or commercially known as Yuna. Yuna is a singer-songwriter from my home country, Malaysia. She first started to gain popularity with her song Dan Sebenarnya. Now, she is living in LA and is actively singing there.

Other than Malay songs, she also writes English songs. And I would have to say I love her English song so much too because she puts in a much deeper lyrics in them. Her songs always inspire me and leave a great impression. The songs she writes are usually about love and life and all of them have positive and deep messages that inspire people.

One of them is called Live Your Life. You just got to listen to it! It’s so meaningful. It has a message along the line of be true to yourself and chase your dreams, don’t dismiss all possibilities because you can reach it if you want to. Okay folks, that’s all from me. Bye! ^^

Long Time No See, Huh?

Wow! It’s been more than a year since I last updated. I changed my layout. How do like the new look? Well, at least I love it a lot more than the last one. This one is cuter, don’t you think?. Don’t know if it suits me or not, but I like it. The last is sooo HSJ biased.

When I first started this blog, I did it because I wanted to get better with my English. It helped a lot. Even though I haven’t written much, but still, I do write. Then, I stopped. When I stopped, it didn’t affect me much at first, but slowly, my English is getting worse and worse. Plus, I used to watch English movies a lot, now it’s all Japanese. While my Japanese is going up, my English is going downhill.

So I decided to start writing again. I know some people would say that it’s really a bad timing to start as I have SPM just around the corner, but I think it’s necessary because I’ve got to get my English tiptop by then.

Owh~ my English seriously sucks now. When I looked back at my previous post, it’s like I’m whole different person. I wouldn’t say that I was great but really, compared to the me now, it was a whole lot better. It’s more decent, I think.

If you think I’m blabbing a lot in this post writing about nothing, well you got it right because I planned to and I just want to write more so I just dragged on the subject. Hahha! Okay, I’ll write a more decent post next time. Bye for now. ^^

#10 song: Angela Aki's Tegami

I’m sorry I post this late. I’m suppose to post this yesterday but I was too lazy =_=. I promised myself to post one post a day and yesterday I already posted something so decided to delay this post. Anyway, as promised, I’ll post a song that have deep meanings and left an impression on me.

The title is Tegami(letter)by Angela Aki. It’s a Japanese song and actually I found this song while I was searching for Hey!Say!JUMP’s videos to kill time, two years ago. The first time I heard it I somehow felt like crying even though what I heard was just the intro and she didn’t even start to sing yet. So I kinda felt that I had to look that song up. I heard the song and read the translation, it made me cry.

When I read the translation, I thought that this person is so great, she understand us, teenagers. It’s nice of her to put those in her song. It made me feel appreciated and made me thinks that I’m not alone, there’s someone out there that understand.

I’m not going to post the full lyric or translation here, if you want it you can get it here. Here’s some quote from my favorite part of the song:

For me who's 15 years old
There are seeds of worries that I can't tell anyone
Now, it seems that I'm about to be defeated and about to cry
For someone who's seemingly about to disappear
Whose words should I believe in?
This one-and-only heart has been broken down so many times
In the midst of this pain, I live the present

This is the part when I started to cry. It’s like, I understand these feeling very well, and in fact that was what I was feeling at the time so I cried a lot.
The rough seas of youth may be tough
But row your boat of dreams on
Towards the shores of tomorrow
There's meaning to everything in life
So build your dreams without fear
Keep on believing
No matter what era we're in
There's no running away from sorrow
So show your smile, and go on living the present
Go on living the present
These parts made me feel like I have to work hard and encourage me a lot. It sort of made me feel better when I was fed up with life. I always thought I wanted to grow up fast because I thought, then I can be free from these problems, these troubles. But what I never thought of is that even if I grow up, it won’t solve the problem and as an adult there are other problems that I’ll have to face later in life.

I learned a lot from this song and I think I had matured a bit. It’s amazing how Angela can make this beautiful song that can touch people, and affect them in their daily life. I envy those people that can inspire others through their arts. One day, I want to inspire people too, maybe not through songs like her but through my own piece of art.

1 down 9 more to go! ^^

Ikemen!...desuka?

Yesterday, I watched Ikemen Desune. It was not as good as I expected it would be. Maybe my expectation was a little too high. Then again it’s just the start, I hope it’ll get better. I think Fujigaya acted his part really well, same goes to Tama but Hikaru… I think he can do better than that. I’ve seen him do better than that. I hope he’ll get more into the character soon because I think it’s not enough. Hmm… maybe I’m always looking at him that’s why I noticed this. I want him to get better and not lose to the Korean version! Other than that it was actually quite good, very funny in fact.

I love the president (he’s the president right? The one that's always have scarf around his neck? Correct me if I’m wrong). He said, “You! Yatchainayo!” Isn’t that Johnny-san? I lolled at that, Tama, Fujigaya and Hikaru must have taught him.

Though Hikaru is my bias but my favorite part got nothing to do with him. I love the part when Tama sang ‘Promise’ along with acoustic guitar. His voice was like flowing with the sound of guitar. His voice was not all that special but it felt very calming. When he sang it he didn't sang to show that he have good vocal or something, he just simply sang and that is what I love most. I love this version of the song. It sounded so nice. I watched that part like ten times! I can’t get enough of it.

The preview of episode two looked nice! I’m looking forward to it!
